| Roy worked for 12 years in laboratories, specialising in H.P.L.C analysis. |
| In 1987, changed carrer to start a motor business in partnership with his brother Derek, specialising in Swedish Cars.Merseyswede Saab & Volvo. |
| Now at the age of 65, semi-retired and winding down. |

| He is Married to Catherine and has 2 daughters, Nicola and Hayley, from a previous marriage and one grandson, Xander, now resident in Canada. |
